During the pandemic, like many others, I began to experiment with growing flowers and veg in the garden for the first time. Once we were out of the stricter restrictions, I was looking for somewhere I could spend more time in nature, learn more about growing my own food and meet new people in my community. This is when I discovered the Bonny Downs Grow Together Be Together Community Garden in East Ham. These photos are from an ongoing personal project where I'm collaboratively making portraits of the volunteers in the gardens.
